The UAE police arrested a gang of robbers for stealing luxury cars.

The Criminal Investigation Department of the General Command of the Umm al-Quwain Police arrested a group of people who specialized in stealing luxury cars from car rental offices.

Col. Saeed Obaid bin Aran, director of the Criminal Investigation Department, said he had received numerous reports from car rental office owners that someone had called and communicated with their offices and arrived in the emirate asking for luxury and modern cars.

The staff at those offices in Umm al-Quwain had also completed the transactions. The transaction was done electronically without verifying the validity of the data and without any knowledge of the person requesting those vehicles. The investigation revealed the presence of a group of people from various Arab countries who communicate with car rental offices and demand luxuries. It’s the same director of the department explained that investigation teams were formed. The police has nabbed a gang who rented cars using other people's identities for committed theft.
