Sharjah police arrested an Arab man who drives his car without stopping after hitting an Asian man.

Sharjah police arrested an Arab man who drives his car without stopping after hitting an Asian man.  Within an hour of receiving the report, the Arab who was driving the car was caught. An Asian man has been injured in a car crash on Al Wahda Street. The driver fled the scene.

The Police identified him within an hour and arrested him and confiscated his car. Defendant pleaded guilty rather than presuming that the victim had minor injuries. Al Buhaira Comprehensive Police Station has taken steps to hand over the case to the Public Prosecution.

The Police said escaping from the scene was a punishable offense under the law and the drivers involved in such accidents were actually charged with two offenses. The Police suggest that drivers be prepared to take social responsibility by reporting the accident and trying to help the victims.

Zebralines should be used for this purpose as pedestrians should be careful while crossing the roads. The Police also advised drivers to keep the speed limit to avoid accidents.
