Abu Dhabi police nab a gang of four with drugs.

Four-member team nabs 600,000 Captagon capsules, concealed inside construction stones. Abu Dhabi police said in a statement on Thursday that the suspects were Arab men. Their plan was to distribute drugs in the country. But the Police prevented them from achieving their goal.

UAE authorities support Abu Dhabi police's successful drug bust, including the gang's arrests. The support is in line with achieving the national strategy of enhancing security and safety in the country by detecting and preventing early crime.

Major General Mohammed Suhail al-Rashidi, director of the criminal security sector at the Abu Dhabi Police, said it was an advantage for the army to be able to pursue an integrated strategy to track down and nab drug gangs, no matter what innovative methods they use.  .

Brigadier General Taher Garib al-Daheri, director of the Anti - Narcotics Directorate, said the group had tried to hide the drug inside the stones used for construction. The Police have appealed to the public to strengthen cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Police to combat drug trafficking and abuse among young people.
